ABOUT DAN BROWN
Living the American Dream

MEET DAN
Dan is a husband, father, and conservative Republican committed to protecting the values that make the Lowcountry strong.
He and his wife, Stephanie - a third-grade teacher at Okatie Elementary School - are raising their young son in Bluffton with the same principles that shaped their own lives: faith, family, hard work, and service to others.
They are living proof that the American Dream exists.
Dan knows firsthand how broken Washington really is. Before returning home to the Lowcountry, he worked as a legislative staffer on Capitol Hill, and as a policy researcher in the private sector in DC. He saw the dysfunction up close - the career politicians who put themselves ahead of the people they serve, the reckless spending that mortgages our children’s future, and the out-of-touch elites who have no idea what life is like for hardworking families here in South Carolina. This dysfunction threatens the future of the American Dream.
That experience convinced Dan of two things: Washington won’t fix itself, and America’s future depends on a new generation of conservative leaders willing to fight for it.
Dan and Stephanie knew that they wanted to return home and start their family in the Lowcountry. They have a beautiful son, Barrett, and live 15 minutes away from Bluffton High School, where they initially met as high school sweethearts. When moving back to the Lowcountry, Dan stepped away from politics and built a career in the private sector. He has stayed engaged in his community and is a member of Cornerstone Church.
But today, as the challenges facing our nation grow greater - out-of-control spending, permission structures that allow for political violence, and declining faith in our institutions - Dan knows it’s time to step up again.
